Omel Athletics possess a sports ground land space of 12 acres in Kitino Tima Village in Omel Sub County, Gulu District. To develop a community sports ground, which will cater for more than sports in the community. Such as specialised point of gathering and events.
The sports ground is planned to develop an International Standard Size Track & Field ground, in a leisure Park.
The development of the sports ground is lagging due to lack of funding availabilities. Omel Athletics, seeks donor funding to aid the development of the ground, and the track & field.
In July 2024, Omel Athletics received funding donation from two of the National Football League (NFL) players from the United State of America (USA). To aid the sports ground's land clearances, images shown below. To make and prepare the site ready for future development.
